I currently ride a Kinesis Pro6 Cx Disc, got itchy feet and want something new, never rode Reynolds and like the look of the Croix. Has anybody any thoughts.. am i mad or should i just change and upgrade to maybe a Lynskey Sportive Disc.
I love Disc brakes so thats a main requirement along with i Commute every day so need mudguards etc etc, but i still want a racey feel and possibly the option that i stick my 23mm race tyres onto my carbon 38mm wheels and could even race.
Does anybody know the weights of the Frame & forks for the Croix......the Kinesis & the Lynskey???
Cheers

CDF frame set is about 3.5 kg...
Get the Condor bivio, it is the best cross frame for discs... Or even the terra if you don't need to carry loadleft the forum March 20230 -
The Condors do look nice apart from the ugly v-brake boses!!! + want to try either reynolds or titanium but feel i need to commit to Ti due to the price so wouldnt want to get it wrong.RR/Cross/Commuter: kinesis pro6

I think you are asking too much... You want it light, fast, with all the fittings and you are fussy about a couple of bosses mounts... I can anticipate the steel ones are not for you as they build around 11 Kg at best. Titanium might build a bit lighter, but as you say it is financially draining. I think the Condor is the best deal around... Light, affordable, racey enough... I am considering one myself as a replacement to the CDF that doesn't need replacement of course...left the forum March 20230 -

Hi there - really interested in your post. I've been looking at both the Croix and the Pro6 for my next bike and I've just settled on the Pro6. If you're seriously considering selling, I'd be very interested in discussing it with you. I'm looking for either the 57 or 60 seat tube (C/T) - I'm 6ft and not 100% sure which would be best. If yours is either of those sizes could we talk? Cheers.0 -
Hi.
I'm keeping mine and its a 54cm. It's a brilliant all round ride. I have two sets of wheels one with 23mm tyres and the other with 37mm for winter etc. mudguards stay on all the time. Stopping power is brilliant with disc brakes. I even raced a local crit on it the other night and it stood up to all the posers with their £4k plus bikes.
