Is it just me or do those Pinarellos just not look nice?

Of course it is not just you. Some people will agree with you, some will not. It is well documented on here as I thought you would have known

IMO some Pinarello's look very nice, and some do not.

Is it just the forks you do not like?
Can you name some other bikes you do not like the look of.

Yes it is mainly the forks that I do not like, but I also dont really like the looks of Treks and Giant either.

Everyone has their likes and dislikes. It often seems too nasty and aggressive on here though IMO.
I am not too sure about the Pinarello forks. I like the concept but depends on the bike as a whole for me.
My pet hate is seat stays that join seat post lower than the top tube. Other than that I am open to all options lol.

Had a look at Scott Speeders on google images and they look like the kind of thing I like ;-)

Ha no need to be nice lol!

I know it can sometimes feel nasty to be critical of someones pride and joy and I am fairly new here so dont want to rock the boat or anything, and I have seen the threads slating Pinas etc but I guess thats what a forum like this is for. Not everyone will ever see eye to eye.

Agreed about not seeing eye to eye and the use of forum for banter and opinions.
Some things just get hounded unfairly and it gets a bit boring.
I think if you put a photo up you are asking for trouble lol............might do mine soon ;-)

I was tempted to do mine, but since I have put mudguards on I know it will be lambasted for sure!

Still might be worth a laugh.

  • The bikes themselves, IMO, are not in question - of course the Pina is nice, who would argue, but for the same spec (albeit probably slightly inferior frame - but even then IDK) at roughly 400 quid less - what is it with this country that we demand lowest price but when talking to peers we need to show our 'wallet bouyancy'. The forks on a pina are obv different - do they work though? or is it a USP? I hope they do work, im a fan of pina's but if its my cash, as a scotsman, im gonna be frugal - again, ill be driving the MR2 by May so ive experienced a win/win for the first time in years.
ill repeat - my only issue is, not the equipment, but buying from a big chain
i might stick up some photos of the T7A as the net is pretty limited in its coverage of this bike - there are some nice shapes to the rear stays - ill need to work out how, oh and ill need to make sure my tyre valves are pointing straight up and that my bar tape matches my saddle or Napoleon D will be down on me like a tonne of bricks

Sounds sensible to me,you have a bargain there so enjoy it.

Sounds great. I spent £550.00 on a 2013 Specialised Allez, I'm happy enough .. But .. Knowing what I know now I'd have def plumped for one of those.

    Enjoy ...
In the same situation myself, bought a 2013 Allez in January as my first bike, got a ride on a triban 5 shortly after and have quietly kicked myself ever since. Night and day difference with the triban being far superior imo. Currently dreaming of my +1 on c2w scheme at the end of this year with the Allez becoming the winter hack.
