rust spots

is there a way to get rid of rust spots/rust or do you jus have to replace the part?>

    What component?

    Keep coated in 'something' stops stuff rusting, that something depending on what the part is.
    Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

    Assume you are talking about steel parts, like the chain or disk rotors or do you have a steel frame?
