Could someone please explain whether the 5a is a newer version and why it is cheaper than the 5 please?

The 3a and 5a are cheaper than the 3 or 5. Any opinion on which has the better spec for the money appreciated.

The "A" bikes are all new this season

The 5A is basically un up-specced T3 with Sora rather than 2300 and the 3A is basically a down-specced T3 without the carbon fork and also different shifters.

To me, the the 5A looks great value as a bit of an evolution of the T3 from last year but if your budget doesn't go that far then you wouldn't go wrong with the old T3.
