Hi, i got this bike quite a while ago now, its been in my garden since then.
It seems pretty decent. Cromo frame and all that. I like the look of ittoo . After all, not bad at all for £2.50! Even got the wheels with it.
I wanna fix this up eventually. But my dad insists that i leave the old style cantilever breaks on there -__- i dont like them. Anyway, anyone have any info on this? year? cost? It dont look too old to me. If its too old i could try retrobike. But i dont know.
Any opinions on it too? Thanks. Here are pictures.

Mid-90s, at a guess. Fairly low-end for the time, good enough for £2.50 now though. There's nothing terribly wrong with canti brakes, especially on a bike of that type.0

Mid range frame, Cromo but not butted, will weigh about 4Kg for frame and forks.
Decent canti's and rear hub at least, canti's suggest pre about 93-95, cranks are cheap tat.
Strip, clean and sell the parts seperately that you don't want on ebay unless you fancy a retro build? If you do you could swap on V-brakes (need V levers as well) - canti's are called that and not cantilever brakes for a reason......
For £2.50 it's a bargain.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
Thanks alot for the info guys, and yes that crank is pile of shyte, never even heard of the brand and its bent as hell too.
I think i wanna build it up in the future. My dad said its a good idea to build it up too cause he likes it.
I got pretty decent gear and brake spares (you know, the ones that have brakes and gears together) so they could go on there.0 -
Oooo that looks pretty nice with gumwall tyres!
Thanks for that0
