Formula IS to PM 180 Rear Adaptor Question.

Hello all,
after finally losing my patience with my Avid Elixirs I spunked a load of dosh on a set of Formua T1. I've fitted the front calliper with no problem. BUT on the rear I've gone up from 160 to 180mm, so I ordered a 180PM-IS adaptor from Superstar (which turned up quick-fast!)... Fitted that on the IS mount on the frame, put the wheel in (with the 180 disc on it) and the calliper/pad now sits about 5mm too high, so not all off the rotor passes through the pad area... Does that make sense? Will this still work ok? or will I die?
Are Superstar adapters different from Formula? Or Shimano? I'd rather not pay the premium for the Formula adapter if I can help it.
Ta.

or you have bought a front IS to post mount.
they are all basically the same. most likely on upside down."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Well, it says 180mm on the adaptor, so I guess not... Stranger things have happened though.0 -
Ignoring the spacing - get the right length bolts PLEASE.....
spacing does look to be about 2.5mm out, which would suggest a 185mm adaptor...have you another to compare with, or a 203mm front?Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
Maybe its a dodgy batch, or mislabelled, but it looks like a 185mm adaptor from here.0

Turns out the adapter is slightly taller than the Shimano one i just picked up from the LBS.
Thanks a bunch Superstar, not!0 -

Nope, still have no ruddy idea what it was! Both adaptors looked the exact same too :? Thanks again though!0
