    You say that, but if she had a bike you'd wish she'd bugger off somewhere else on it.

    Or maybe that's just me.

    If you would like some advice on how to get OH on the MTB;

    Let her choose the colour of the bike, trust me this works and is by far the most important aspect.

    Fit a female saddle; my wife has the Deva and she has said the difference is unbelievable compared to other saddles she has had.

    Make sure her bike works properly. Do not give her your old crappy components that you have replaced because they do not work properly.

    Make sure everything is adjusted for her, saddle height, bar width and grips that she likes.

    Lastly, do not demoralise her or talk to her as if she is stupid, but teach her how to ride the bike properly. This includes how to pedal, change gear, apply the brakes and move forward and backwards on the bike depending if she is climbing or descending; but not all at once!
