I don't think they do, we probably agree.
The point is that David Cameron (the Government) thinks neither parent should stay at home, they should both be out working. By the way, don't the Tories dislike Government interfering in people's lives :?: :?
IMHO people that have children should be prepared to look after them and nurture them love them and care for them not farm them out to random strangers and then ask for a bail out from everyone else. However if go to work mums are going to be subsidised 'cos they're doing the right thing by going to work how come stay at home mums are looked upon as unworthy of financial help 'cos they're bringing their children up in a loving caring environ? This should lead to an individual that develops into a well rounded person able to take their place in society in the long run. Being "dumped" in a nursery isn't the best for the child or society.

It's not about the benefit it's about the discrimination of those (to quote Cameron) "Doing the right thing".

Frank and I agreeing on a political matter.
    Who'd have thunk it.

To be fair, Frank is fairly consistent. It's my political view that is all over the place.
None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.

Where does it say that? I havent seen any speech or policy document that states that? I think you making that up

" When asked if Mr Cameron believed that stay-at-home parents were less in need of state help than working parents, the spokesman would only say that the Prime Minister wanted to support “aspiration”."
In other words, go out to work and we will subsidise you. Stay at home and we won't.
Or, stay at home and we are cutting benefits.
In pure financial terms that appears to be sensible. Where it leaves society is where the problem lies.
None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.

There are all sorts of tax breaks - for bikes, for example. Let's not pretend that paying for child care out of pre-tax income is in any way unusual.

When you get back from having had your lie down fella  I think if you were to talk to anyone that knows me as a person they'd say politically I have many views that vary from fascist to communist and pretty much everything inbetween. It depends what the subject is.

I just like to see fairness within society but we all have a different idea of fair, that's where the debate comes in.

I feel better now thanks.
I guess that I am some kind of right wing socialist that doesn't like the centre. :?
Not normally a problem but a bit tricky come election time.

Back OT. In my opinion it is lunacy to subsidise people to go to work so they can pay others to raise their children.
But it is only my opinion so utterly useless but I feel better for getting it off my chest.
