Hi, this is my brothers bike. We have no clue what it is, but it is really really light for a steel frame, probably lighter than my Aluminium GT. It seems quite expensive for that matter. It also has one of those forks that you can pump up with a football pump and you can adjust it(i dont know what it is called, its unbranded but really good) The rear shock gaitor thingy actually turned out to be melted apparently as the bike was left out in the sun, so the suspension was removed and the rear suspension is now a chopped up seat post (pretty good job there i must say)
The only thing that i believe is original is the Deore DX headset, the stem, and the fork. Everything else i am certain is not original. The parts are not very expensive but everything was completely worn out so i basically took all of the parts from a bike i had lying around and put them on.
The red shimano stickers arent orginial but every other sticker on the bike is original. We couldnt find out what the bike was anywhere, and im hoping someone might now what this is. EDIT: There is a sticker that has the outline of the word "Offroad" on the top tube on the right of the red Shimano sticker
Here are the photos:

An old proflex 753 at a guess.
Post it on Retrobike.co.uk"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Ohhh, just googled "proflex 753" and it looks to be it! Thanks!
Any idea on how much it costs? Do you consider it as a good bike? (considering its age, 1993 apparently)0 -
Like I said go ask on retro bike."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

It pre-dates Pro-Flex. It is (as the sticker on the head tube suggests) an Offroad. The company later changed name to Pro-Flex and then later to K2. It probably dates to 1989 or thereabouts and should have a Girvin flex stem and rigid fork.
As suggested, you'll find out a lot more on Retro Bike.

My brothers words "as long as it doesnt kill me i dont care, im not spending anymore on it"
He spent a fair bit of money on parts but most of them have been replaced, the bike is now pretty bad and he refuses to buy any new bits, hence the reason why he has that crappy suntour crank, no front mech, a jumpy chain and gears despite our best efforts to fix it, and a retarded headset xD0 -

Wtf? okay? O_o and i thought you were talking about my description of the suspension.0 -
I'm not bothered if someone doesn't have technical knowledge or language on a particular thing, but the l33t=speekz text msg stuff grates after a while. I'm not trying to be offensive i just cannot take you seriously if you write like that. Of course i'm only speaking for myself, it probably doesn't bother anyone else except other grumpies so continue if you wish.0

For what it's worth, that sticker with "TANGE" in red letters is what the frame's made of - Tange was (and for all I know, still is) a respectable name in Cr-Mo steel tubing.Specialized Roubaix Elite 2015
