I need one for commuting. I have decent winter bases of various warmths (?) but I need something windstopper for early rides, to go under a windstopper jacket.

So far I've only spotted Gore and Craft that do them - anyone use these?

I have both and the craft just about nicks it but they are pretty similar and both very good.
Why would you want one under a windstopper jacket?

Not tried the gore, but the craft one is very good.

If your windstopper jacket has done it's job, you don't need any wind stopping under it. :?:
None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.

    Cheers.

The jacket usually does its job it's true, but the commute has some initial descents and on early cold mornings it still blows through a tad. I get round that by running two bases, or a thicker Craft extreme base, but then when I warm up it's a bit too much.

It's a narrow window but I reckon a thin windstopper base will be just the ticket, so I'll see what prices I can find.

Always Riding for a Craft w/s base. Got one recently and its OK. I was worried it would be like a bin gag but is actually pretty good. I wouldnt want to wear it under a w/s jacket though - I use it under a winter weight merino jersey when I just want a little extra windproofing without a full gilet etc.

If going for the Craft then go slightly on the larger size if the size guide puts you inbetween. I'd normally go for a M in anything other than Italian sized stuff, but went for the L and its perfect.

    +1 for merino.

I would get a new windstopper jacket if yours is not stopping all the wind!
2 wind proof layers does not sound a good idea. If its for commuting does that mean you would be then wearing a windstopper base all day at work? Might not be great depending on what you do for a job.
