September family holiday with local cycling - recommendation

Not sure if this is the right section but I'm looking for some holiday advice. I'm looking for a 10 day holiday in September for me, the Mrs and our toddler son who will be 2 and a quarter by then.

I'm trying to please all the people all the time - which means pool/beach/nice town/restaurants for the family and some local riding (and decent bike hire) for me to pop out for a couple of hours a few times a week. We've made a success of this a couple of times in November in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote.

While we wouldn't choose it if it was just us, we also found all-inclusive accommodation is ideal for a fussy-eater toddler.

The riding doesn't have to be too epic, an hour or two of quiet roads, countryside and some hills will do me. Ideally road but MTB is good too.

Any specific or general recommendations please? I was looking seriously at Puerto Pollensa, Majorca but the options for all-inclusive seem to be limited and overpriced - it's not like we can get "value" from tanking beer all day long.

Northern Lake Garda in Italy. It's stunningly beautiful with lots of little towns to explore via the ferry's that cross the lake. Lots of little beaches, plenty of cycle hire shops and amazing road and MTB cycling to be had all around. Easy to do day trips to Venice, Milan or Verona. We've stayed in Limone and Malcesine before and can't stop going back, it just has everything for a balance between relaxing and exploring little towns.

Some of the best deals we've found before have been through lastminute etc. or teletext, we normally do half board and eat out half the time as there are so many amazing restaurants. We've always had airport transfers included and haven't needed to hire a car as the ferrys are the most fun way of exploring the towns around the lake and trains to other major cities are good. Something we want to do in the future is hire a boat on the lake for a few days.

Riva del Garda on the Northern shore of the lake has loads of cycle hire shops but probably isn't as scenic to stay in as some of the towns on the North Eatern/Western sides.

Tend to end up near Cartagena in southern Spain. Plenty of road/MTB riding options but very little in the way of all inc deals that we can find.

Have family that have a place out there so works out quite cheap for us as we don't have to pay to rent, but there are plenty of rental deals out there if you don't mind booking the place & the flights separately. Plus the area is littered with golf complexes about 10 minutes from the beach which are another option. Not a golfer myself but have stayed on one and got a really good deal at one of the polaris ones think it might have been La Torre, then again there are so many you can pick and choose.
Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.
