Hi,
This will no doubt seem a dumb question ... so sorry!
I'm building my son up a bike with an on one inbred frame plus various bits kicking around in the garage, bits yet to buy (on a very limited budget) ... and a few bits of free or very cheap bits from a mate.
We've got a set of marzocchi bomber all mountain sl2 forks which we plan to use ... they have a 20mm bolt thru axle. We've a wheel that has a 9mm qr skewer. Can you get an adaptor so the forks would take that wheel or do we need a 20 mm bolt thru wheel?
If the latter, any ideas on somewhere we can get one for a good price?
The other option would be to buy a suitable hub and build up using the rim from the current wheel ... are we likely to need different length spokes? Again, suggestions for where we could get good value hubs and spokes from.
Thanks ... maybe more questions on the way oncr the frame arrives and we get going!

No to the fork adapter.
You'd be better off buying a new wheel than building one up IMO. Sell the old one.I don't do smileys.

you could have a look on Ebay for some suitable Qr lowers and swap them over.
new hub yes you would most likely need new spokes unless you are lucky on lengths.
and your LBS or whoever will be building the wheel."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

What hub does the wheel have?
Some (mainly recent) hubs take adaptors which will fit different axles.
If that's not possible, personally I would sell the wheel and buy another.0 -
