Been looking through the forum for a while now, thought I might as well add my bit!
After the sale of a P2 fell through I decided to try and build a TT bike.
Always wanted a Look so when this came up knew I wanted it!
Plan is to build up with Ultegra 6700 and hopefully some FFWD F6R carbon tubs if I can find some for a decent price.
Will try and keep it updated with the progress

It was more than I was hoping to spend, but hope to complete it for just north of 2k. Got some vision carbon bars on order and hope to order the groupset tomorrow.0 -
very very nice the French track bike of choice i believe?0
-
Have ordered all of the large parts minus the wheels, for which I am thinking of going chinese
A group of us are ordering some far sports wheels, hoping to get a bit of a discount.
My personal preference would be for a tubular 60/88mm combo weighing roughly 1380g for ~$600, however, my other alternative is tubular 88mm set weighing ~1540g for ~$470. What would people recommend?
I cant see the bike being too lightweight, considering the module is 2824g!
Cheers0 -
love it!
welcome to the exclusive club!
I was very tempted to get one of these, so excited to see it built upBMC TM01 - FCN 0

Parts for the build have slowly started to arrive!
Today, the bars and the brake levers arrived.
Went for carbon vision base bars from Chainreactions and they look amazing!
The brakes are from the same place which I'm not so sure of.
Weights are:
Vision carbon base bars - 234g
Levers - 155g
I have an old pair of clip on easton tri bars that i had lying around. Still unsure whether to use them to save money or go for something a bit nicer.0 -
Return the levers immediatly I have them on a cheap TT Build and they flex like hell. I can live with it since the whole build was for fun really and under £600 but that frame deserves better.0

They will be one of the first things that I upgrade depending upon how I find them once its finished.
Got through pretty much all of the components this week thanks to Slane cycles and spent this morning building it up. Never had Ultegra on a bike and was surprised at the quality!
Weight as it is was ~5.75kg so hoping to sneak it under 8kg complete. With new saddle and aero bars will hopefully drop a couple of hundred grams too!
Will get some more photos once the wheels have arrived and are on!0 -
Really like this keep the pics coming!!!0

L O O KS good...0

Cheers guys! Will hopefully have it finished over the next week.
To keep within my budget, I went for some farsports carbon tubulars. Quite a few of my friends have them and they all rave about how good they are for the price. Can always upgrade in the future if the need comes.
They do look pretty sweet!
60mm Front
88mm Rear
They are going to have Vittoria Evo CX tubs on!
I think the wheels are the last bit!0 -
Wheels have finally arrived! Seem pretty decent from just looking at them, time will tell!
Just a few small jobs left to do, cassette, brake pads, and setting up the group set! Going to try and get it all done tomorrow. Aim is to get a bike fit soon.
Will get some better photos outside once its done0 -
I love that frame, but something doesn't look right with the whole thing. It's out of proportion somewhere...

I have no idea what's going on here.0 -
Seat post needs to come down quite a bit which makes it look pretty odd
Not overly keen on the area between the rear wheel and the cutout, or that the front wheel doesn't align well with the front cut out!
Will get some non-squint photos up over the next few days0 -

Yeah, I think both wheels need to be closer to the frame to make it look right. Looking forward to more photos though!

+1 for more photo's
I think it may look a little odd with the bars that high up aswell. Is the stem one of the ones that folds back on itself?0 -
still looking good.0

It looks like the frame is two sizes too small for the rider bit LOVE the actual frame.Insta: ATEnduranceCoaching

Might be wrong but irrc Looks windtunnel testing showed that having the frame very close to the rear wheel was less effective than leaving a gap. Front wheel may just not be aligned with the frame.Faster than a tent.......0 -
Seat needs to come down a LOT! so hopefully will be more in proportion once I've done that.+1 for more photo's

Need to get hold of a chain tool and then can test it out!0 -
A couple more photos, inside for now.
This is the famed ergo stem that gives a large range of adjustment

I built it with the aim of doing triathlon and the odd TT.0 -
Finally finished to a spec that I'm happy with, hopefully means no more money spent on it
Had a couple of races (triathlons) on it, struggled with it for the first couple but after getting a tri-specific saddle I'm finally happy with it.
Saddle is a specialised Sitero Expert bought from Sigma, very happy with it as means I can ride in aero position for more than 20mins...
