depends on your local conditions.
theres loads that are widely used schwalbe nobby nics are one of them, not used them myself.
Best to ask at local bike shop as you can see the tread patterns etc or what the guys use at your local trails that you ride on.0 -
Assume you currently have Rapid Rob. If so, you may find Hans Dampf have more grip. try changing just the rear.Planet X Kaffenback 2
Giant Trance X2
Genesis High Latitude 2x10
Planet X n2a
Genesis Core 200 -

They are 26" only though and so massive that they leave bugger all mud clearance on most xc bikes.
Schwalbe Nobby Nic or Rocket Rons are both pretty good. Depends on your local trail conditions.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

My mistake, they do come in 29". They are enormous though. I tried fitting a set to a Giant Trance X and I couldn't get the wheel in the frame!Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
