Man vs Bike....anyone got any route ideas?

Inspired mostly by this:

Some mates and I are thinking of organising a man vs bike (I'm a runner too....)

Anyone got any ideas for routes? I was thinking of something like Hathersage to Edale (or something), man could take the shortish route, bikes would have to all be off road.....

    Company I used to work for used to run an annual circular event starting out from the cat & fiddle. Was reasonably well attended and not a bad route, the fell runners took some beating.
