I agree with pretty much everything tou said (apart from alesi and Irvine since I wasn't around then haha) Seb did a fantastic job in Abu Dhabi bar the odd taps.
Being a huge Kimi fan I would like to be Kimi. Simply because he is as cool as a cucumber with media and he is an absolute joker. And he is also obviously an amazing driver with a WDC to his name.0 -
Thought you guys might want to see the highlights for the first 2 practice sessions if you havent already done so.

Dont know what I enjoyed more?
Suzi perri,
Alonso and Hamilton on the podium or
Vetel not getting past to claim 3rd0 -
I havent seen the race yet. Well i saw the first lap then i had to leave to go do my charity ride. My mate texted me and ruined it for me...RUINED AGAIN!
So fkin glad Hamilton beat Vettel!!!!
Suzi did look very nice today0 -
What a bloody awesome race, finally got to watch it last night and was packed full of goodness.0

That was quite an epic race. Pitty that Vettel won again! Grr...
Another P2 for Kimi. Hes 10 points behind Vettel now with a 17 point lead so hes doing very very well. He just has to finish infront of Vettel a few times and he takes the lead. Should be doable with that Lotus. Its great this year. Im chuffed for Grosjean too.0 -

But i think come Barcelona it will be all change again, lot more updates to a lot of cars, hopefully they will be able to close the gap. But saying that i think Alonso was looking Racy, Who knows if his DRS wasnt borked i think he could of pushed the little German weasel.0 -

100%. Alonso would have had a smashing race. 8th place with the DRS problem was fantastic. Anyone but Vettel!
I reckon if Lotus sort out their qualifying then they could get Kimi in the fight for the win. If he qualified above 5th then i think he was almost guaranteed a win. Less traffic for him to push the car. And if not, that 9 second gap would have been much much closer if he had a better quali.0 -
Vettel was untouchable. Could have won by much more, just coasted round.0

Must admit I did think McLaren had made a bit of a mistake by going with Checo as he didn't look ready to move up to a big team going by the last few races. Looks like he could be a top potentially world class driver if he keeps that up, he still has a lot to learn but he shows alot of potential. Had to laugh when JB said on the radio to "calm him down", yes he was a bit to fiesty at times but good on him for giving it a go.0 -
I also thought McLaren made a mistake with Checo. But if he carries on going for the wheel to wheel racing and showing off what hes got, then ill definitely change my mind. I dont want him to be all cautious and slow. I wanna see more of his proper talent like we did last race. It was funny when Button got on the radio though, your right.
@ SS: Thats quite true. I just remembered him saying that he "wanted to take it easy at the end of the race, and thats exactly what he did" Well, apart from that typical Vettel last minute fastest lap0 -
I can see why Button was complaining because from his point of view he just wants to keep his position but from a viewers point of view its always good to see inter-team fighting.0
-
Yep. I hope we see more of it...especially with Webber and Vettel. And if i were Webber id spin Vettel off the track. Or force him into the wall...how i would LOOOOVE to see that...0
-
Button just wants another excuse to whinge, what annoyed me about that is he held his faster team mate up, almost caused a collision and then pitted for tyres! Madness.
Button is such a whinge bag.0 -
Button is such a clinical driver, he often gets overlooked due to his incredible ability to glide a car to the position he wants. It doesnt make the best TV but my god can he drive.Living MY dream.0

It doesnt make the best TV but my god he will never win a race again0

Hahaha
It doesnt look like he will win a race any time soon though...that is correct. There has been a few surprises this year, and McLarens dismal start to the season is one of them! He is a good driver though, hands down.0 -

A wet/dry race will improve his chances0 -

He usually does excell in conditions that others usually find difficult, and rain always brings all the cars closer together in terms of performance so thats true. Apparently there is rain forecast for the next race. God knows how they came up with that 3 weeks in advance...0 -
-
I dont know what Button was doing when Perez ran into the back of him...Perez done a lovely cut back but it looks like Button didnt accelerate out of the corner as fast as he should have on purpose...0
-
Button could lose the race if he was the only racer starting.0
-
As good as Di Resta is, i actually found this amusing.....you cant just say that, and he hasn't even won a race yet!

I think most would flourish in a perfect car.
Button is one heck of a sweet driver, he can glide a car through the most demanding of circuits.
Having said that, there isnt a bad F1 driver, they dont get there by luck
I think history in F1 (as other sports) is made by people close to insanity Those willing to take risks, those willing to go the extra mile.
History doesnt remember every "sly" way sportsmen act in getting to the top or making a win. It just remembers numbers. Those willing to take every angle possible make the records. (im not saying thats right or wrong in terms of morals btw)Living MY dream.0 -
BTW;
Ive read a lot of whats been written on this forum about F1 and have to say that the comments are better and many times more factual than many dedicated F1 forums ive read threads on.Living MY dream.0 -
And is the crudcatcher... so take some of the comments with a pinch of salt ;-)0
