Roads, are they going out of fashion?

They seem to be crumbling into dirt tracks all around us. I'm sure there must be a fault running along the road in Moss Side as it's crumbling apart.

    No - its just because you live "ooop north" and all the donkey & carts thatyou filled with rag & bone and screaming dirty urchins are fukking up the roads. Don't find that in the civilised south my son. Head to old London town - streets are paved with gold.

    When me and my bicycle got back from London it was covered in black crap, you don't get half of this black sutty crap up north. Must be fallout from the industrial revolution.

    Round here they just seem to be a large number of potholes connected by random bits of differing types of tarmac.

    Repairing roads is certainly going out of fashion.

    Where I live the council are extremely happy tearing up perfectly fine roads and re - laying them and completely ignoring the roads that have decayed into a series of holes and cracks and bits of rock. Nice to see my council tax is been well spent.

    And you think that Moss Side deserves better. I used to cycle from Stretford to uni past Moss Side in 1747 and the roads were fine then. What actually do you expect from somewhere that is called 'Moss Side' it is going to have Moss at the Side of the road with the attendant acceleration of road surface degradation.You should be a bit more respectful of - Local Authorities, the Government and your elders and betters. This is all I have to say. Because you come from there then I am reporting you for being a drugs dealer, gang member and evil.

    Yup - northern filth slowly working its way down the country polluting everything. I understand that they are planning to turn all the wind turbines around so that they face north to blow everythin back to whence it came from.

    The ensuing south to north constant hurricane will also make north to south legs of the Tour of Britain quite interesting for people on deep rim wheels yet very slow overall .......

    The roads here in Kent are, on the whole, alright.

    I see bad roads as a training aid, keep going and it will make you more Belgian.

    Plus, its shite up north. I love the sexy sarf, mate. And I'm Scottish.
