  • Oh, thanks for ruining my evening. The best I can come up with is 0%, because...

Logically, it can't be just a) or d) because they're both a 25% chance, which would mean there's a 50% chance, but given that there's already a 50% chance, thereby meaning 75% them are correct, 75% would be the right answer... except that would make the answer 100%.... which isn't an option, so they're all incorrect. 0% chance.

I like your style. But if you make 0% option (c) then you're really stuffed.

I d say 50% because you'd either by right or wrong.

I think that's the point where I'd have to claim that you didn't explicitly state that it was a multiple choice question thereby turning it into a philosophy question, so...

    Q) If you randomly choose an answer to this question what are the chances you will be correct?
    A) My chances of being correct would be 100%, unless you can conclusively prove otherwise.

Maybe none of the four available answers are correct. They could all be wrong.

It's a paradox that can't be answered correctly.

    Off to work now.........

    42

Assume its a 1:4 chance on a 4 option multiple choice question, which indicates a 25% chance. Then of course there are two answers of 25% which then increases the possibility to 50%' which is or course then a 1:4 chance so your are back to a 25% chance. And so life goes on. Accordingly I will stick to 42 as the answer to everything.
