Replacement bolts/skewer for Alex DF23/Day-One cross

Hi All,
Long time lurker; first time poster - be gentle on me, please
So, I have a 2012 genesis day-one cross as my commuter bike. Sadly, due to my crazy OCD over-tightening habits I've pretty much rounded out the dome headed hex bolts on my rear wheel (an Alex DF23). It's a horizontal drop-out - if that makes any odds.
I want to replace these while I think there's a chance of still getting them out. But I don't know what I need to buy?
I've mailed Genesis but no word back yet.
So, any recommendations? Not sure whether I need a full skewer or just the bolt bits on the end? I'm new'ish to cycling so have no idea what these bits are called?
Ideally I want traditional bolt heads rather than domed hex heads.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Take the bolts out and go to your local bolt and bearing supplier. it'll be either m6 or m8 bolts you need. Personally I'd replace them with the same rather than hex heads as the hex heads will chew up your frame and generally be a nightmare.
Get good quality stainless steel bolts and you should be fine re rounding out. Unfortunately you wont be able to change to nuts as the axle isn't long enough.0 -
Thanks for the reply. So, the bolts will come out as two separate bolts - not as a single skewer thing?
Lovely. I'll whip 'em out and take them somewhere.
Thanks for the advise on the hex heads - hadn't thought about damaging the frame.0
