dating a frame

I dont expect results, but its worth a try. bought a Hirame Kuwahra road bike, need to date it. on the frame its stamped 2 10 72852. someone said Kuwahara sytem is first two numbers are the year, next two the month. the wheels are dated 85, and it does look an eighties bike. would just like to be certain
