Newbie here just completed my first sportive aged 37, proper MAMIL
Really enjoyable event, friendly people all over and as a bonus I got out of helping the kids on Mothers Day. Chuffed with my 4hr 31 for the 80mile, gold standard was 5hr45 and although 'not' a race came about 12th from 300 or so in the 80.

excellent - good speed too - its had a bit of a bad reputation in the past, so good to see you enjoyed it.The dissenter is every human being at those moments of his life when he resigns
momentarily from the herd and thinks for himself.0 -
Thanks, what was the bad rep for, organisation, route? All seemed good on the day?0

Also seemed pretty good organisation to me...hope so anyway as I'm doing their Tour of the Pennines event in a couple of months.
Well done on your first event NorthWales, though you did miss just little bit out at the bottom end after the feed stop. Easily done as one of the 50 and 80 splits was there.
Full route is here though you would still easily have beaten me I might add...struggled with that wind on the return leg.

Facilities at the start, such as number of toilets, parking etc. As Cleat says, I think they took on board criticism at the time and things have improved in recent years.0
