I hope God is proud when he looks down on the Catholic church..
Short of the house of commons will you ever find a bigger bunch of hypocrites full of their own self importance who do the very things they tell you not to?0 -

It certainly seems the way over the past 150 years or so. In general I think religion is a good thing, I view it as a way of accepting death for the sake of the new life. I am not a believer, life after death for me is through the kids and hopefully grand kids. My comment above was in general.Living MY dream.0 -

You don't believe! so why is it good to perpetuate a lie? to tell you kids there's life after death? that there's a god when you don't believe yourself, are your kids not capable of accepting fact? All lies and jest..still a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest....0 -

Truth is, I dont know if there is life after death, I just dont think there is but just like the monarchy, I think it is good to continue, I dont want to argue over it, thats just my opinion.Living MY dream.0 -

What do you expect? These people claim to be the moral authority and judge others whilst being repeated child abusers. Is any other organisation or group of people so closely associated with child abuse? And it's not just the priests, it's that the cardinals and others protect them when they know about it and move the priest to another area to continue the abuse.
And breathe!0 -
I like your posts but you could land in a whole heap of trouble for posting things like that, I wouldnt want to go into it on a forum but surely not all are bad, just like not all kids cause trouble on street corners, not all immigrants are after benefits etc etc. The list could go on but as soon as we commit all people of a certain sect to be a certain way, society as we know it is doomed ?Living MY dream.0

I think all religions will go out of the window eventually, then we will be left with mankind , capable of supreme good/evil. Certainly hope the good guys win.0

Well as the Met Police were declared institutionally racist due to the actions of a minority of officers, I'm declaring the Roman Catholic church institutionally kiddie fiddlers! And they can sue me if they don't like it!
On a serious note, I do accept there are many priests out there doing good work in their communities.0 -
white smoke means they have picked a new pope. Black smoke means they are still burning hard drives and laptops.0

Religion is just the best excuse we have at the moment to kill each other (or for stoning women to death, once you get bored of them )0 -
Throughout history, religion has just been a way to control the masses. (No pun intended) The Catholic church (kiddie fiddling bastards) has been very successful for centuries.0

I'm confused i would have sworn the first para was the serious note?
On another note various local families round here all of a sudden have to find the 'catlick' religion just so that they can get their kids into a catholic school, depressing thought that in this day and age faithism is alive and wellAll lies and jest..still a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest....0 -
It would be nice if his first address was on the lines of "Condoms are a marvellous invention, get one on yer dong".
The damage their usual stance is causing in some parts of the world is dreadful and stupid.

I think that they should check his job application form - I mean he looks over 70 - probably said he was 28. I am 99 and I have to lie on my application forms. ...never get the jobs though.0

The thing for the Catholic Church is that condoms cut down their number of followers in the future.0 -

Except if your followers are dying of AIDS or hunger.

..so you are suggesting that using a condom may cut down hunger. Perhaps we would not wish to understand the exect mechanism..0

Not tricky.
If you live in poverty and are already struggling to feed the 3 kids you've got, (and they're getting hungrier as they get older) and then suddenly there's yet another mouth to feed because your church says that condoms are a sin.
Sure, abstinence is a possibility, but would you?

The Times has just the man to go and write an article about the new Pope: http://www.finger-jam.co.uk/roger-boyes-journalist-gets-unfortunate-article-assingment/2010/03/"I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0
