Hi all,
Is it worth spending the extra on the 9.9SL http://www.canyon.com/_en/mountainbikes/bike.html?b=3037 or save a few quid on the 9.9 http://www.canyon.com/_en/mountainbikes/bike.html?b=3036. Main differences are the 9.9SL has Mavic SLR rims opposed to the 9.9 Crossmax ST and the 9.9SL has SRAM X0 and X9 gearing opposed to the 9.9 XT setup.
I understand from reading the Mavis blurb that the Crossmax is a harding hitting wheelset than the SLR which might be more suited to abuse and I know that XT kit is cheaper to replace than SRAM X0. On the flipside I could add a Reverb to the 9.9SL and it would be around the same weight as the 9.9.
Cheers in advance

I'd go for the more expensive one just because I'm curious about the Kashima coating. Based on nothing but my curiosity. I've seen differing views on Kashima coating though.
If you need the stronger wheelset though I guess that complicates it and it's a fair bit cheaper.
What I really want to know is what it rides like once you get one though. So please post your opinion once you have it0 -
Won't be for a while, 11 weeks delivery if I order today and still deciding.0

11 weeks!! Doesn't sound like there will be many reductions at the end of season when I was hoping to get a bargain...0
