Kuota Kebel

It isn't to the standard of some of the bikes in this forum but I thought I would post a few pictures of my new to me, Kuota Kebel.
I bought it just before Christmas and have spend the last few months making a few additions and changes.
I previously rode a BeOne Blue as my "summer" bike which is now been moved to winter duties and sold my Allez on. Looking forward to getting the Kuota out on the road as so far it has only been used on the turbo.
I know there will probably be comments on the amount of spacers. I originally had it lower but having had a recent retul bike fit and also having had some recent back problems (unrelated to cycling), it was raised to that height during the fit. The intention is that when I get a bit more flexibility back is to gradually drop it again. I know I could have slammed it more solely for the purpose "OCP" aesthetics, but to be honest it was absolutely baltic when taking the pictures and I would rather show the bike as it will be riden.
Last change will be bottle cages. These were a present from my wife and I like the cages, just not the indiscreet planet x branding.
Pictures are taken with my iphone and I'm by no means a photographer, more a point click and hope for the best.
With Cosmic Carbone SL's
With Ksyrium SL's for windier/hillier days
Finally a picture of the BeOne which has served me well over the past few years.
It was just back from a ride so in an uncleaned state and I just realised I forgot to remove the pump for the photo
Comments welcome....

You could get a stem with some rise which would enable you to get rid of some spacers!0
-
I know, but the intention is to drop it over the next few months so there wasn't really any point in buying another stem at this point as I had just bought this one.0

Looks great, I know we often like to comment (my bike commented on by others too BTW) on the stem / seat height, I believe it's what ever is comfortable for the rider. If you can have a good average mph, enjoy yourself and be comfortable I think you should set it up to suite yourself (within reason of course).Cipollini Bond

Well yes, obviously. Slamming the stem so you don't get abuse on an internet forum is a fairly daft thing to do.
No denying it though, a stack of stem spacers makes a nice bike look shit.0 -
Nice bike. Judging by your saddle position you may benefit from an in-line seat post though.Yellow is the new Black.0

Thanks Smidsy, yes the in-line post would be better but this is how the come as standard on the Kebel is it is notoriously difficult (and expensive) to source the in-line version. I'm hoping one will turn up on ebay or somewhere at some point or if anyone has any suggestions on where to source one then that would be great.0

That is a really nice looking bike. it's the first time I have seen good clear pictures of a kebel and I have to say I'm impressed.
It always makes me wonder why people feel the need to comment of stems, spacers and saddle height. Is there nothing better to do in life than take a few cheap shots?0 -

Thanks for the comment. I saw a kebel last year at a sportive and vowed to have one at some point. This one then popped up for sale locally second hand at the end of last year so I grabbed it.
In terms of the comments, I guess that is part and parcel of the whole "ocp" thing and at the end of the day you post your bike to be commented on, good or bad. I know myself it would look a lot better slammed so I'm not denying but the picture posted is how I will ride it (time being), it is what is comfortable and what was recommended during the retul fit.
For people to only post on the amount of spacers etc and ignore the rest of the bike is probably a bit ignorant on their part, but again it is their perogative to do so and all part of any forum0 -
Cracking bike, always loved the Kebel

Stunning bike!! Those cosmics go really well.0

you know I love it
as for the cages, sand the logos off and polish up the laquer. I bought a little bar mount thing for my light which was a carbon tube with a gash logo on it. Sanded and poilished it up and just nice carbon now. zero cost0 -
Cheer Paul.
If I started to sand the cages there would be nothing left!0 -
Looks fantastic! I see you have made a few tasty upgrades. How do you find it performs?0

Thanks for the feedback and I hope I enjoy mine as much are you are obviously enjoying yours!
Mine is yet to see tarmac and given the current weather, it doesn't look like it going to be any time soon!0 -

It was moved forward quite a bit during the retul bike fit. I think it looks "off" due to the setback seatpost so I need to find a Kuota inline post for the aesthetics0 -

I'm not sure, but I swear someone may have suggested the inline seat post before.....and then got castigated for it :roll:Yellow is the new Black.0 -

Are you referring to me? If so I'm not sure how you come to that conclusion as I agreed with you, I simply said they are difficult to source.
I have just heard back from an Italian distributor and they don't have any on that colour scheme and one on a different colour scheme (all black) will cost around £140 before postage so that won't be happening0 -

The bike looks great and they ride fantastic. I got mine a few years ago and still love every second on it0

I've still not seen another Kebel in flesh when out but have seen a few Kharmas. I think they have stopped making them now havent they or just rebranded them. It seems this is the successor
