After somthing new up for £700

Aloha.. its been a while.

Im after somthing new that could be used for both a 6 mile commute and a the odd bit of light trails/fire roads with the child.

Currently i have a 2006 Kona Scrap thats a bit past its best and is a bit too heavy.

Im going to be getting it most likley with the ride-2-work scheme, so looking up to and around £650/700

Ive seen the Boardman comp in halfords and the trek 4500, just wondering if anyone knows of anything else thats good value for money and well specced

Which scheme using which retailers?

Lots of different bikes will cope with what you want, CX, MTB or a wider tyred hybrid.

Cheers guys, did a bit more hunting after posting and found the rockrider 8.1 mentioned a few times.. hoping to visit decathlon reading on friday
