I thought I'd see what this long travel HT thing is all about (I know not spectacularly on trend, but I'm not exactly a dedicated follower of fashion).
Frame: 18" matt black
Forks: 2010 Fox TALAS 150-130-110 RLC
Stem/Bars: SB3 Flowy 50mm/Easton Monkeylite (685)or Haven (711), not decided which yet.
Drivetrain 1x10: Hope 34 IBR , SLX crankset, SLX HG-81 11-36 cassette, SLX M675 Shadow+ rear mech, SRAM 1071 chain
Wheels: Hope Pro 2/DT EX5.1D, tubless kit - my first foray into both DT rims and running tubless
Tyres: Schwalbe Nobby Nic - probably 2.35 front, 2.25 rear
Brakes: Avid Juciy 5, CSG3 rotors 185 front ,160 rear (spares from my parts bin)
Everything is either still in boxes or in the post at the moment, more pics to follow when the fun starts 8)

And as if by magic...
Which quickly became
And this is my favourite part of the build, when it still looks like sculpture, I'd keep a frame like this all the time if I thought the other half would let me

Stem
Not sure about this one tbh, might swap it for a different one at a later date.0 -
Looks good so far. Nowt wrong with that stem - of course it's hard to tell until its got bars, grips, and controls on.
BTW - most of the On-One, PlanetX finishing kit is very good.

Weird thought I'd posted an update earlier, but I guess it didn't take, here's take two:
Dug out an old tube to wrap the drive side chain stay:
And threw the Mojo's wheels and a saddle on for giggles:
Rather pleased with the result 8) it's nice to sit on anyway0 -
Looking good, keep the updates coming!0

got the stans kit on order so next big thing is converting the DT rims to tubeless. off to get a 2ltr coke bottle to make a ghetto inflator tonight.0
-
-
Well that was easier than I thought it would be, back tyre went up tubeless and appears to have sealed first time, which is nice. It's been up overnight and not lost any air, which I'm taking as a good sign.
Front is yet to turn up, time to hassle tweeks :evil:0 -

That is nice - top job, enjoy getting your arse out on it.

Very nice looking bike indeed! I'm looking to build something similar, where did you get your crank arms from? Cant seem to find any anywhere other than full cranksets!0

ebay, I got a full set with knackered rings which didn't matter because I wanted to 1x10 it.
Final spec something like this:
Frame: 18" matt black - Smoothy mixer headset
Forks: Fox 150mm TALAS RLC FIT QR15 Tapered
Stem/Bars/Grips: SB3 Flowy 50mm/Easton Haven 711mm/Lizard Skins Lock-ons.
Drivetrain 1x10: Hope 34 IBR & low mount chain keeper , SLX crankset, SLX HG-81 11-36 cassette, SLX M675 Shadow+ rear mech, SRAM 1071 chain
Shifter: Currently an SLX M660-10 mounted on a Hope matchmaker, but soon to be swapped for XT M770-10, I'm not keen on the different profile of SLX levers compared to the XT on the Mojo.
Wheels: Hope Pro 2/DT EX5.1D, Stans tubless kit
Tyres: Schwalbe Hans Dampf TS 2.35 front, Nobby Nic PS - 2.35 rear
Brakes: Avid Juicy 5, CSG3 rotors 185 front ,160 rear
Seatpost/Saddle: Easton EC90/Fizik Gobi0 -
Took it to the bog of eternal stench (Epping Forest) to get it muddy today.
Rides well, still fine tuning the bar height. No tubeless disasters, if I'm honest I couldn't tell the difference, but I guess that's actually a good thing.0 -
Looking good - and most definitely dirrty
How's the bar height?

still muddy at epping. need to find somewhere sandy close by!
bar height pretty much sorted, it's an infinitesimal change, but feels miles better. time to chop down the steerer now.
some minor brake fiddling required and I'm swapping out the slx shifter to xt, I'm not getting on with the different profile lever on the finger shifter0
