In the winter I wear a neoprene skull cap no probs, now the summer is coming fingers crossed I need to wear something under my helmet at it digs in in one place .i don't want to mess with the helmet as it was expensive. Cap or bandana anyone got a sussestion. Growing my hair isn't an option not since 16 ha ha

Answered your own question mate, cap/bandana. I wear a trade cap as it helps soak the sweat up and the peak takes it away from dripping down my face: whilst it also acts as a visor.Tail end Charlie

When it gets too warm for my beanie I wear a buff under my helmet0

Agree with Frank the tank on this that you have your answer to your problem sorted already. I wear a cycling cap too which helps when its windy or wet, plus they tend to fold pretty small so if things start to warm up you can always remove it and get in your back pocket.
Pretty cheap to buy, lots of different plain colours or team colours to choose from too.Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.0 -
I'd recommend a BUFF with UV protection, saved my bonce from some strange helmet patterns! Very versatile as well.0

Another vote for cap - also helps keep the head cool in hot weather when on long climbs.0

..I read that as "badly in need of help"....!...
cap for me, but the tough question is....peak up or peak down....! ;-)0 -
I'm bald and don't like hats or bandanas in the summer. I bought a spare set of internal foam helmet padding and cut a few bits to size and glued them in a couple of places where the helmet was a bit uncomfortable. They've stayed in place and I never even think about my helmet when I'm riding so it seems to work for me.0

I am very happy with my buff, and I think it said it was UV protective. Whilst I don't have a peak that shades my eyes, which I think my helmet does anyway, the way I wear my buff means it also hangs down over the back of my neck for a bit of protection there as well.Giant TCR2 and lovin it!

Check the sale section on Prendas and/or their eBay store too. I got a Molteni cap for £2 last year. I think PX are also selling cotton caps quite cheap too.“Training is like fighting with a gorilla. You don’t stop when you’re tired. You stop when the gorilla is tired.”0

Sorry lads cant resist gloating. Over 50 and have all my hair, alright so the colour has faded a bit (lot) but aint lost a single one. All my helmets are comfy.
My cycling buddy wears a thin baseball cap underneath and seams to help.0 -

Think I'd rather be non smug, under 50 and without a baseball cap wearing mate than have your hairline
Bandana cut in half diagonally (to make 2) nice and cool and protects from the sun.0 -
I got a nike one (so sorry for the blatant advertising there) from sports direct (again, sincere apologies) for around £8, it feels very good on my bald head and takes any sweat from the head very nicely.Living MY dream.0

Pfft! A haircut for me means a quick blast over with the clippers and it costs nothing! I rarely miss my hair! Besides, Kask helmets solve any comfiness issues......Faster than a tent.......0 -

Trouble is 'one-size-fits-all' is too small
Anyone found a source of large(r) cycle caps ?0 -
