Steel Frame Renovation

I have a Steel frame (Cove Handjob) that I recently had powdercoated.

In preparation for rebuilding the frame, I had the BB and Headtube faced leaving exposed steel faces.

The question is should I treat the faced edges with anything to avoid corrosion? But if I treat it is that not defeating the object of facing it in the first place?!

Any suggestions?

Really? I kinda thought that that would just get flushed off with water and mud and washing?

I was thinking of one of those thin rust protecting paints.

You could fit the BB then paint any bear metal with something like hammerite to seal the surface.
