    So bought some gatorskin folding 25's in the end. Did 33 miles yesterday on them in the rain round the south downs lanes - very gravelly and gritty on the narrow lanes with plenty of sitting water unable to avoid.
    Not a mark on them!

    They are thinner than the Spec Espoir Elite 25c'c and do feel faster. So I am converted to the Conti's. Will go for some 4000's in the summer - when it stops raining. Just need some gloves now to stop my hands freezing!

    I've got michelin pro race 3 SCs, lovely lovely lovely. Mind you, my bike only fits 23mm, does that explain why I'm slow?
