Is this Sigma Sport vid of the descent of Sa Calobra. Quicker by bike than car but not on the return trip! I must do this....... 8)

    It's pretty narrow so if the car infront isn't slowing there probably isn't anyone coming - and there are few side turns so you may know there is no-one coming even if you can't see that far ahead.

    I had a great time driving up it in the evening - everything at the bottom was shut so I knew there would be unlikely to be anyone coming down. There wasn't!

    @ITB - maybe he didn't want to go over a cliff!

    last one was only one that looked (from vid) iffy.

    remarkable quality you get now!

    i'd need to hire/borrow a bike to get up that, having only a SS.

    I've descended and climbed Sa Calobra many many times, it's one of the best. Funniest thing is seeing the tourists faces looking out the windows of the coach as you overtake them at 40MPH!

    Haven't watched the vid yet, looking forward to seeing if it shows the loop where the road goes round in a complete circle and underneath itself. Once down the bottom you have no option other than to turn around and ride back up...unless you get on a boat and get off on another part of the island.

    Nice little cafe right at the top of the climb, perfectly situated so that you can sit and wait for your mates to catch you up...or vica versa!

    It's a bucket list job for a cyclist I reckon.

    I have always been so shit at descending....it's like my balls drop off when I reach the summit of a climb.... :shock:

    There are lessons in the video for me.... :lol:

    :shock: My goodness! I think you're right: Poor DDD would not approve. In fact, I suspect he'd not approve all over his computer keyboard watching that!

    I've got to say, though, I'm a bit sad to discover I think Sigma's version of the video is sexier. Still a cool song. I like the French horns and bass trombone at the end. Probably patches, which is a shame, but still, nice touch.
