Stage 6 a 220km stage from Manosque to Nice. Maybe a sprinters course, or this late on in the week, a chance for a breakaway group to stay out in front?

Just taken up by the Eurosport livestream - 40km to go. 5 in front of the Peloton, but only by 15sec!

Abandons - Robert Gesink, Yoann Offredo, Andrey Zeits, Mark Renshaw and Thomas de Gendt.

35km to go now and the decent in to Nice starts in around 15km. I wonder if we will see any attacks before that? Chavanel heads out off the front with teammate Velits and Grivko from Astana.

(edit - is there anybody there? :D )

Hello! I think the others are getting over what seemed to be an exciting T-A stage.

I must say I am enjoying watching Kiryenka's jowls blowing in the wind.

Earlier bonus points for OPQ riders.

    - Chavanel now equal 5th place with TJVG
    - Velits up to 6th from 10th respectively.

Riders very cautious on that descent with Sky at the front.

Finally some sun as they hit the Mediterranean in the Race to the Sun.

EDIT: Kiryenka is still on the front. He's been on the front of the main bunch since I tuned in with 53 km to go.

Still at least its not someone with a space potty on their head on the front.

Really weird seeing a sprint with no sprinters!

    Long sprint.

    Chavanel en puissance.

I was going to say that nobody expected Chavanel to win that, but clearly not!

I'd like to think Gilbert lost for crimes against fashion for that helmet.

Right that was dull, the grocery shopping will now be exciting in comparison.

Agreed. I would expect more from him. All BMC seem to be wearing it so maybe they are sponsor obligated?
