Having just read (most of) the Oenophile thread, my previous sympathy with you for the abuse you were attracting just... evaporated.

I think the squabbling on here is ridiculous, so let's not make this a multi-page diatribe. It would be easy, indeed tempting, to spend hours picking apart your self-indulgent opinions, but I don't think I've got it in me to waste such a vast amount of time. Perhaps I'll use the time to go and better myself, as you have patronizingly suggested to others.

Like I said, you haven't enamoured yourself to many on here, and in such a short space of time you've created quite a stir. So, good for you, sir! I hope your wife enjoys her bike, your kids enjoy their paintings, and you enjoy your 'investments'.

I've posted here for years and most people know nack all about me. Apart from cycling related stuff. Better if we just keep to topic and stick to advice, questions, or opinion as opposed to lives, wives, likes and willy waving.

I'd agree - theres a really vicious pack mentality developing - and for quite an enlightened forum a quite evident undercurrent of jealousy.

Funny thing is you know when the Girls-In debacle started last year, it was around this time - maybe its the weather and lack of proper racing on tele - either way, people could do far worse than let it lie and move on... yours sincerely The New Pope Cleat (two hail marys thrown in for every sex act committed in a confessional).

Thats fantastic I can honestly say that I have come across more Mr Barnhard's within this forum than anywhere else in the past 40 years.
Having said that, there are far more wonderful people here than bad.
And thats not to say anyone is bad, ive obviously rubbed people up the wrong way but it wasnt intentional, maybe im not used to forum etiquette and maybe that was partly my downfall.
