105 rear shifting problem.

Yesterday I received my new 105 shifters from chainofreaction. Front shifter works fine, but something funny happened for rear shifter. When I shifted from larger to smaller rear sprocket, there is no "click" sound(shifter), is this normal for 105? The cable indexing is working correctly I think, just without "click" sound. Shall I return the shifters?

i've got the new 105 at the moment and had the older version before that and both click when shifting down, its not as loud as the front shifter but still noticable.
If they work ok maybe stick with them? or contact the seller and see what they say?www.conjunctivitis.com - a site for sore eyes0 -
Mine are the latest 5700 shifters, if I push the left paddle to make the chain drop onto the smaller front ring there is a soft click type of sound, definitely not the like the aggressive click of the thumbshifter on older sora models.2012 Cannondale CAAD 8 1050

hmm, my rear shifter works fine when shifting from smaller to larger rear sprocket, it has a "click" type of sound. But when I shift back from larger to smaller, I can't really hear any "click" type of sound, but I can still "feel" I am shifting because of the cable movement. I can't really tell if the chain has already moved to the smallest rear sprocket or not, as the shifter doesn't have any click type of sound when shifting to smaller sprocket, this worries me. This is really unusual comparing to my old 6600 shifters.0

My 5600 RH shifter doesn't make much noise when it's shifting down the gears. Never has done. The left hand one however produces a very loud clunk when dropping to a smaller chainring.0

I think I will keep these shifters for now. Hopefully they won't fail in the following next few months.0
