Removing Logos from Pedals
I have a set of Shimano 105 pedals like these and would like to try and remove the writing from the sides.
Just wondering if anyone has done this themselves before, and if so, how please?
Any thoughts anyone?

Not a shim pedal owner so not exactly sure with these.
However looks like the white paint is is either screen print or transfer paint and then covered with a clear coat over the top. If that is the case then its going to be easy to remove but a bit more work to get back to clear coat over black.Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.0 -
I recently delogo'd some SRAM levers using the polishing tools on a dremel. It does take time though to do even a reasonable job (and in my case I then repainted parts and clearcoated everything).
You'll be able to remove logo's that way anywhere they are painted on but if they're lazer etched I wouldn't even try.
Unfortunatly I can't see images from my work browser so apologies if you've included some. If the pedals are silver 105 then polishing will probably work well. If they're black then you may find that the white is applied directly to the metal (SRAM gear lever graphics are at least on current Rival) rather than over the black which makes for quite a bit of tidying up afterwards.0 -
they are notoriously difficult to get off without causing issues with the finish to the hard plastic...
leave it mate, let the usage over the years do the job for uRoad - Cannondale CAAD 8 - 7.8kg

Thanks, sounds like it's going to be a bit of a PITA then and possibly not look too good, think I may leave them as is for the moment then"Arran, you are like the Tony Benn of smut.
