how suitable would an S1 be for sportive riding? I have no intention to TT or race, just want a nice fast sportive bike.

    looking great btw.

Great looking bike, the Easton wheels seem to be made for it!

Never in the month of Sunday's will Cervelo ever be in the same bracket as a Trek.

Now go wash your mouth out and sit on the naughty step ! :D

Would definitely make a fast sportive bike, how comfortable you would be depends on your judgement. Plenty claim they are very harsh on the road whilst others have no problems. Wheels and tyres would effect this to a certain extent. Position is definitely racy.

I love S1s and it remains on my list for a 'proper' race bike to join my stable.

Nice. I love mine, although it does encourage you to hammer it constantly much to the annoyance of my friends..

I run 22mm tyres and can ride it all day. its no harsher than other aluminium bikes. You can also build them very light, mines 7.3kg

    Post clean.

    Thanks for your comments.

I also have an R3 (photos to follow), and I think the S1 is nearly as comfortable. I haven't had any problems with the oft reported harshness. Though I agree that the ride will depend on wheels, tyres and contact points. Personally I find both my bikes perfect for sportive riding.
