Tyre recommendations???

Hello I have a carrera Vulcan 2012 and the standard tyres I think are too grippy for Tarmac so what is the best/fast rolling tyre for both Tarmac and off road tyre cheaper the better tyre many thanks

I think he means to draggy....
For knobblies the stock CST's on the latest Vulcan are one of the least draggy you'll get, they suck off road though as the rubber is more like plastic, what pressure are you running?Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
Sorry I mean to draggy feels like I'm pedalling more and less roll because of the tyre if that makes sense,and I'm not sure the exact pressure but they are quite hard was thinking of getting racing Ralph's will that be better?????0

I use them myself. They are good summer/XC tyres.
Fast rolling, but are prone to the odd puncture unless you go for the Double Defence version.
However, that comes at the expense of extra weight, so that version doesn't roll as fast.
I would also point out that once it gets a bit wet/muddy, they aren't the grippiest tyres out there.

So do you all recommend that I stay with these tyres?? I use mainly Tarmac through the week and trails and that on weekend if that's any better and I will check my tyre pressure and let u no, maybe there not dragging and it's just the weight??0

How can we recommend a tyre without knowing how and where you use it?
On road just pump the CST's up to max pressure until they are worn out (then get slicks) meanwhile get some off road that suite the conditions you ride in, which may be very different to mine or someone else that says X works for them.

Ralphs are a bit of a soft compound, you'll wear them down swift on the road. I'd save a bit of cash and get the cheaper Rapid Robs or a set of Kenda Small Block 8s, both a similar sort of thing but should last a bit longer.0
