Aye Up Boys and Girls.

Thought I'd post a few pics of my new Yeti.

Done a couple of rides on her thus far, and I'm extremely pleased, these are beautiful frames both to ride and behold!

Coming off a Whippet set very race-stylee with narrow flats bars, long stem etc, wanted to make the ARC a more balanced all-rounder and so far it's been immense fun to ride both up and down, just as I had hoped.

A few parts are yet to be changed, mainly the seatpost, as it's currently a road post in there past it's minimum insert. (NAUGHTY)

Let me know what you think, I'll stick up a couple more shots when the last bits are on.

Nice. I would love to build one myself but fear that I'd spend way too much.

I've built it up over time, just taking most of the components from my previous bike and building it on to the Yeti.

They are expensive for an Alu frame, but I never knew Alu could ride so well until I got this! Worth every penny.

Plus people on much more expensive bikes see it and are like "Wow I love Yetis!" haha
  • That's gorgeous!! I had a Yeti dh bike up until recently and I loved it.

Thanks Matey, they are beautiful bikes. If I could afford to have a Big Bike I would get another Yeti for sure.

Thanks guys. Rfgt I'm so skint after finishing this, and actually if/when it comes to forks, one of the local lads has a pristine pair of durins which I could have. Appreciate the offer though.

Cheers Bud, I love her. The normal tinkering that comes with a new build she is now balanced beautifully. Just low enough to keep the front pinned when climbing hard on the nose, then high enough to be fun on the downs as well, a hard balance to find!

Typical. Your nailing it through the woods only to find there's a Yeti blocking your path, lol

Very nice. Gotta love the colour scheme of them Yeti's

But I've decided I miss my old flat and bar end combo, so now we are off to Whipstakes Rd 1, see how I get on in a short race :?

  • Nice Yeti. Is this a medium, Alex? Could I ask what height you are?
  • Hey Thanks, looks a little different again now! It is a small in Yeti language, which makes it about a 17.5"

    I am a little over 5' 7" but I am all legs!
  • Post up it's current state, would love to see it.

Ah, I'm 5' 9" with a 31.5" inseam and have been offered a medium (19"). I'm currently riding a 16" Surly 1x1 which is too small for me, but I don't feel overly cramped with a setback post and 100mm stem, thought the jump to a 19" might be too large. Dare I say it I'm worried about the aesthetics of my size on a 19" frame too, I prefer the look of a decent amount of seatpost showing.
  • I will grab a picture soon.

I would say a medium would be spot on, they come up relatively short in terms of top tube compared to some brands, which is perfect for me (I have 9 fused vertebrae from a curvature correction, hence short torso.)

You can see there's a lot of post showing on mine, so should think you'd be all good. For reference I run a 100mm stem and a setback post. Was 110mm with flat bars, I bought it back a little.
  • Manage to snag a snap, Alex?

Yeah, looking at the setup of yours at only 5' 7", a small wouldn't cut it. I might pull the trigger tomorrow.
  • Was waiting on a couple of little bits before grabbing a photo :(

Will get one today as it stands.
  • Just a quick phone snap.

Will get some proper ones soon, a couple of pretty bits to go on!
