So I nipped to Halfords for some oil (Mrs ini's car drinks the stuff when temps head south) and thought I'd ogle the bikes. Tucked away next to some VooDoos (I wan't a HooDoo but probably don't ride enough trails to justify it and certainly not enough to justify spending much more) I see this lithe carbon beauty for £999. I had a look at a couple of Boardmans but I really don't like their logo, not sure why but I can't stand it.
Full carbon, less than 9kg and Shimano 105 for under £1k what's the catch is there a better buy for the money?

I used to just ride my bike to work but now I find myself going out looking for bigger and bigger hills.

What's the catch? None if you can live with the name's similarity to Viagra.
Looks a tasty package. Tektro brakes aren't the best but like the shimano 105 they are cheap but functional. Formula hubs aren't great.0 -

Well, it is entry level carbon.I used to just ride my bike to work but now I find myself going out looking for bigger and bigger hills.0 -
It's a good buy, £1K seems to be the entry price point for a carbon framed roadie now, there are a few available (Ribble I think still do one).Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
