Hopefully my new frame will be arriving this week so a new build will begin but I have been thinking about the old frame and all the parts left over from previous builds and what to do with them.

Spec wise would be nothing amazing but possibly of use to someone.

GT Avalanche 3.0 frame
Suntour xcm/xcr forks
fsa xc270 bars and 100mm stem
3x8 shimano groupset
deore rear v-brake
mechanical front disc (160mm)
Alex rims wheelset & nevegal tyres

Is this a setup worth building and selling or am I better off just selling as parts?

Build it up and keep it as a crappy weather bike.

nice thought but unfortunately I don't have enough room since the wife decided she wants a bike but needs a smaller frame.

Just stripped down a GT Avalanche 1.0 and sold for parts on ebay - got more than I thought I would and a lot more than I was asking for on the classifieds on here, even after fees. My frame was very tatty paint-wise so I couldn't see anyone interested in how the bike looks buying it. If your frame is good it might be worth selling whole bike. Look at completed listings for components that have sold and this will give you an idea of what the parts will get. Then try selling the bike whole for the same price or more - it's a lot less hassle selling 1 thing than selling loads.
