Thermal Tights under Bib Shorts?

Hi guys, my team just got our new kits in for the race season. My new bib shorts just barely fit and I really do not want to stretch them out as they are already slightly big. Will wearing tights with thermal lining under stretch my bibs out permanently? I would just be wearing them under until the temps warm up a bit.

PS. I am not a fan of wearing tights over my bib shorts.

If your bib shorts are padded then you should put the bib tights over the top (assuming they are not padded).

Tights over is not going to feel any worse than tights under is it?

As for stretching - isn't that what Lycra does? i.e should not be an issue.

Failing all the above how about some Roubaix leg warmers to wear with your shorts?

Why are you not a fan of tights over shorts? Why would you want to put tights between the pad and your arse? Theya are designed to be worn next to the skin!

Only option is tights over shorts I am afraid.
You could buy some leg warmers as has been said, but I would Just get some winter bib tights in a sale.
If you have leg warmers your top half is no warmer.

Oooop's, just noticed you said team kit. Guess it will have to be leg warmers.
Do your team not do a bib tight option?

one of my cycling pet hates is wearing padded shorts and having unpadded waist tights over them. the tights sliding down your ar$e whilst you pedal is maddening. if i were in the op`s position id just wear my padded roubaix gore full bibs.

Then buy some waist tights that fit and/or do up the string round the waist. Your trousers dont fall down at work do they? Its not rocket science to get waist shorts or tights that dont fall down - they would only do this if the waist was too big.
