An appropriately sized one (i.e. it'll say 26xX-Y on the packet, where X-Y is a range that matches your tyre).

What size tyres do you have? Road could be anything from a 26x1.0 to a 26x2.3!

I wouldn't bother with a slime tube in a road tyre, but then I don't inside off road ones either! (My commuter has done 3250 miles and had 2 punctures).

I use 26x1.0-1.5 inside everything upto 2.25", Schwalbe, just £4 each and only 125g.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

I'm using cheap stock tubes from decathlon, they are 1.5 -> 2.3 which is perfect for me as I have some conti sport contact road slicks at 1.6 for tarmac and some off-road knobblies at 2.1

This will most likely cater for your needs, even if the tyre is thinner than 1.75" it should be fine. Cannot really be more specific without the tyre and current tube widths.
