Am seriously considering one of these as my first foray in to the world of 29ers. What are people's thoughts?
Ultimately I want to use it for the odd bit of racing (XCs such as Gorricks, Brass Monkeys) and a bit of offroad duathlon type stuff. Also, trail riding - nothing too heavy as I have a FS for main trail duties.
Unfortunately my budget is limited to about £1500 - included in which I want to ensure I get a tubeless set of wheels...

Good value bikes. Would have liked the Motion Control damper on the fork, but easy to upgrade.
Frame is a bit lardy, but at the price is splitting hairs.0 -
The fork being the Recon, Supersonic?
I see they have an ex display which is XT equiped and with a Reba fork. Would that fork be much of an upgrade performance and weight wise?0 -
The Motion Control forks are worth having, the Reba lighter too.0

The mrs has one, rides nice, as described a little lardy for a carbon frame, but she races on it and it does't seem to hold her back too much...
I have the carbon race which is lighter and feels very nimble, a bit more expensive but still a bargain for what it is0
