I dont. I bloody love it. In fact I was bombin it down a big f-off hill the other day and hit about 50mph. It gave me such a buzz I was screamin like an idiot by the time I got to the bottom of the hill. I wont get that in a car. The weather was extremely sunny and the quiet roads I was on were in the brecon beacons. There wasnt even much wind! I honestly could not have had a better time with my clothes on.
On the other hand the behavior of car drivers drives me up the wall (or quite literally into one). Such maddening incidents almost always happen at junctions or roundabouts. The last incident was when a god dam van driver turned into a sideroad I was passing but must have thought I was a mirage or something. I ended up with my back wheel hitting the kerb to avoid getting rammed. A back wheel which along with the front one cost £350. I was tampin. Why do I have to enjoy cycling, I hate it.
At least I have a dedicated MTB to get away from all the nutters but I do enjoy the speed of my road bike.

Maybe just stick to the mtb then if it winds you up that much0

A black belt in cycling sounds right up my street lol!
I am somewhat used to it tho but if the close call is that close, I say lots of words that begin with F, B, C and A. Wont be stopping doing what I enjoy until i am physically mangled or somethin.0 -

You'll find the old adage of "kill them with kindness" far more effective. I always give a smile and a wave, but if a motorist does something really dangerous I stop in front of their car, dismount, and perform an impromptu happy dance.English Cycles V3 | Cervelo P5 | Cervelo T4 | Trek Domane Koppenberg0 -
MTB has its own problems, like bobble hats who like to exercise their statutory rights by walking up an MTB trail despite the obvious signs warning them of the dangers.0

Going down a hill at 50mph is brave. I wouldnt do it. Maybe its me being too defensive, but the thoughts of a front punture at that speed seems too scaryCube Attain SL Disc

I know what you mean. Coming down a mountain here in mallorca yesterday afternoon. This is what happens you meet tourists that do not know what side of the road they should be on. Left me with this. Brand new cipollini shorts first time wearing too. Had to cycle the last 26 miles home afterwards but must have been adrenaline as today sat on sofa all day with cracked ribs. excellent

Have you ever driven a high performance car? the buzz you get out of that far out weighs the buzz you can get from cycling. Ok maybe I'm not the fastest but I totally get why for some men cars can outrank women at the top of their list.Scott Speedster S20 Roadie for Speed
Specialized Hardrock MTB for Lumps
Specialized Langster SS for Ease
Cinelli Mash Bolt Fixed for Pain
