bonded frames and acid dip strip

Hi there!
Right. I've gotten my grubby paws on a Gary fisher sugar 2 frame and its in a sorry old state.
Structurally sound but looks like a cat scratch pole that's been adorned with black tape!
I stripped her down to frame only and removed the rear swing arm/triangle.
I started Sanding with the intention of painting then thought balls to it, get it dipped and powder coated,
After talking with the dipping guy i realised the rear triangle is a part bonded construction, now my concern is that if it gets dipped, will the acid eat away the bonding and thus destroy my back end?
Anyone had a bonded frame dipped with success?

i would not be dipping it."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Main frame is all welds, just wondering if i can get a near enough job done by hand for the rear only.
Or just rattle the pig0
