Alternative and better bike mount for bryton 50

Hi
I am very satisfied with the unit I have but the mount is not terribly satisfactory, so much so that today the entire unit flew off the stem! I was lucky that the device was essentially undamaged.
Anyhow, scouring the Internet all I am able to trace are identical replacement mounts-something I'd prefer not to have. Does anyone know of a generic mount that might be up to the job? Or perhaps an improvised solution that appears to work for them? Any sage counsel and advice warmly appreciated. Many thanks
