Recently discovered Zappa after watching Classic Albums one morning whilst having my shower fixed. Went out and got Over-Nite Sensation & Apostrophe, which were featured in the programme, think they are great, but a bit unsure what to get next as he recorded so much. Anyone?

We're Only in It for the Money, some say his best album

Hot rats, my favourite, hadn't listened to it, until now, since 1969! full album (to see if it's up your street) here...

A couple of my favourites from the prolific 70's...

Zoot Allures and the "live double LP" Roxy and Elsewhere.

Saw Zappa and the mothers in Brum in the 70s. Brilliant, simply brilliant. Imagine the audience coming out singing "Willy the Pimp" in a Dudley accent.

"Dumb All Over" from You Are What You Is still resonates to this day as a cutting reminder of the destructive relationship between war & religion, but there's lots of fun stuff and classic solos on there too.
