My brother, who commutes across London told me about this.

    As long as you can arrange to have your mechanical at Paddington station it's great! But you'd still really need to carry all the stuff that the repair stand has anyway so you'd need to be very close to Paddington to decide it would be worth pushing your bike there rather than fixing the problem where it occurred.
    Faster than a tent.......

    As I see it it's a facility that will at some point come in very handy for some people and enable them to continue their journey.

    Better for it to be there than it not.
