Nothing special to do as I'm just using up holiday days before the end of the FY; the weather doesn't look too bad; I have finally succumbed to roadyism and my dhb Aeron Pro Cycling Bib Shorts arrived today  ; Flapjack is in the oven....
and I'm hoping to get a lot of miles in over the next nine days

Lucky you. Enjoy it, take a rest day. Clean out garage or whatever and most importantly look smug when out during the week when I drive past ,working, wishing I was that guy looking smug.
Planning on anything big, somewhere a bit different?0 -

Several things yes
Probably including heading out to the flatter east coast and go for my first 100 miler :shock:0 -
Excellent... You can do the latest strava challenge then!0

You should meet up with the Calder clarion boys and hit some miles with them. Great set of guys and they ride midweek as well as weekends. They have a couple of meeting places but you should be ok as they always meet in Wakefield somewhere check out the rides page for more info if your interested.Look 595 ultra - F+F for sale.....

Sod that, I like in that flat east coast and still haven't tried the fabled century yet!
Good look and hope for no wind, that can make the fenlands feel like mountains when its blowing a gale.0 -
Nice one,and the forcast is to get warmer after the week end so may have dropped lucky on that front.
Enjoy.Dulce et decorum est Pro patria mori0 -

Have a good week!
My childminder is off the week after next so I am off work to do the school run. Lots of people have said "what a shame to use up your annual leave for that"
Yes - I can't think what I could possibly do between the hours of 9 am and 3 pm for a fortnight!0 -
@ Crispyapp - thanks I might look at one of the weekday morning rides. Though their website is a little scary and serious looking :?
@ marylogic - lol sounds fun too!

Phil if your a new rider then trust me, your in good hands. Some of the guys, in fact most that ride mid week are retired and probably about 60. Don't let this put you off though they still push on. My best friends dad Steve is who organises the routes, his telephone number is on the site, give him a call. Great guy. Tell him I've put you intouch, it's Christian.
You should give it a go and then if you decide you like it then as you can see online the rides are set out from now till then end of the yr. could be a new weekly riding grp for u. Ill probably do some of the weekend in next few months so hopefully ill see you on them.Look 595 ultra - F+F for sale.....

@ Christian - I'll see how brave I'm feeling Tuesday morning
Had a good long ride out to Keighley and Hebden bridge yesterday.
And today, HOLME MOSS hurt like hell and I did stop once to catch my breath...... but still! was very chuffed to have done it.

I was feeling brave, so did my first club ride.
And great fun it was too - a good pace (quicker than i would have done on my own for any sustained time) and very nice folk too0 -

Sweet, another convert.
Only managed a woeful 24 miles today - my it was cold. In my defence it did have 1800ft of climbing and max altitude of 1080 ft.
Ok I know still a feeble effort.Yellow is the new Black.0 -

+1 for calder clarion chaps, good bunch been out a few times with them when time permitted.0 -
I took today off. Weather was too good to be indoors.
130km boshed in the books. My biggest distance yet! Deeeelighted with life.0 -
It was beautiful down here today... so I planned a biggish (for me) ride
I've only been back into cycling since the start of this year. Rather chuffed to have cracked out my first 50 miler since turning 50
Must keep it up0
