Ok, please be gentle, I am new to this all. I recently bought a Kona frame that came with a Bottom bracket, namely an FSA BB7000 Mega Exo like the one in the below link:

I purchased a chainset to go with it. The one below:

However there isn't anywear to bolt the crank to. Am I missing something? I can take some photos if that will help solve this riddle  .

Think I bought the wrong chainset. Will this fit?

You bought the wrong chainset for your bottom bracket, the second chainset will fit, however it may be cheaper for you to get a compatible square taper bottom bracket, than another chainset

The first chainset would not fit because it is a square taper. The second chainset you posted would fit the BB. You need to buy a MegaExo chainset to fit your MegaExo bottom bracket. MegaExo is an FSA BB design so it would have to be an FSA chainset.

Thanks guys, I went and paid for it. Silly me for not checking in the first place but I can just return the previous one. And I found on wiggle that they sell spare crank bolts and one of these was missing.

I would personally stick with the FSA BB and find a compatible chainset.

FSA MegaExo sets will of course work, but most Shimano Hollowtech Chainsets will also fit. You may just need to change the amount of spacers between your frame and the BB cup depending on your frame's Shell width and the Crankset.

I have used FSA MegaExo in Shimano BBs, and visa-versa with no trouble. I personally prefer the larger splines and use of a 5mm Allen key on the FSA, rather than Shimano's small splines and funny plastic tension cap. Not that I had any particular issues with this system either.

I currently Run an FSA Crankset in a Rotor BB, which is a stand Bottom Bracket designed for either FSA or Shimano Systems.

    Hope that helps.
