what crank extractor do i need?

That look like a square taper so a sqare taper extractor should do the trick. what extractor did you buy?http://www.thecycleclinic.co.uk -wheel building and other stuff.0

Square taper BB removal tool, any will do.

The ebay extractor tool looks like the right one.
Are you saying the black part of it won't screw into the crank?0 -
You have backed the axtraction part out the body before trying to screw it in haven't you, that one should do the business.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

the middle bolt that you crew into the crank is too big for the axle its screwing into if that makes sense0

you sir are my hero. i really should of watched a tutorial on this. i had it in my mind that that the middle bit went in the axle. its all fine now. Thanks for all the help everyone, especially cyd0
